The Shopping Trip
The long-awaited for post is here!!! Megan Cochran and I went shopping sometime the end of January at Scottsdale Fashion Square(what other place to shop?). We started with accessories as you can see below, but weren't sure about the black (Chy didn't want any black in the wedding lol) Well we ended up buying the turquoise sticks for me...
...and Meg bought the turquoise feathers (BELOW) for her hair.
Next we went off to find outfits. We thought to do opposite everything she would wear a red skirt and turquoise top and shoes and me, vice versa. Well... We must not have been looking in the right places because we couldn't find anything we liked to put together...
(Pencil skirts were from Express btw, girls. Very affordable (from there!) and not too short which is saying something from someone with long legs and they had like 10 diff colors!!!)
Sooo... after spending all day in Scottsdale which was fun, but not exactly rewarding we headed to Arrowhead. I was grasping at straws, but I remembered seeing an aqua cardigan that I LOVED from there and Meg saw a teal skirt that was perfect... Needless to say... That's what we ended up wearing!
Headband/Accessory Making Party
I seriously loved this idea!!! I will have to say that Chyra definitely had some of the most fun ideas I've ever heard of for a wedding:) And she included everyone. (Always best to do so no feelings get hurt;) I had college that night, but when I got there, feathers and sparkly stuff and glue guns were everywhere! Everyone made their own so their own special touch was added. Then we all pitched in to help make the flower girl's headbands.
Mine
and the flower girls'
and Chelsie's (hers LOOKED huge but it was absolutely gorgeous with her hair done)
The Wedding!
Reminded me of the bomb pop popcicles:)
Cher and her Aunt singing
lol as Pastor said... that 1 must have practiced! or at least planned ha ha
presenting.... Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Luckenbaugh!!!
On the Way to the Reception...
After concluding pictures at the church, we headed over to a little farm before going to the reception. (Another idea I absolutely loved!) All the girls, thankful to be rid of their adorable but painful shoes changed into cowgirl boots and the guys donned their hats and boots too.
Ashley, Nathaniel and Courtney Kelly, Heath Luckenbaugh, Cheramy, Chyra and Jon, Jordan Luckenbaugh, Chelsie, Tony, Sarah Luckenbaugh, and Paul Tovar
This was my absolute favorite pose of all... As you will see... I had some fun with it on my phone
The Reception
After Sarah, Chelsie, and I stopped at QT for gas and drinks (we were dying of thirst!), picked up 5 bags of ice at Wal-Mart, picked Meg up from Tim and Liz Brown's house, we finally made it to the reception... Ha ha! That was a funny one. The MC (Kyle's Dad) was announcing the wedding party so Chels had me park her car. Megan and I missed being called so we awkwardly wandered over to the head table after Jon and Chy sat down. lol The reception was absolutely adorable with one exception. They didn't plan the sunset which was right in our eyes while we were eating ha ha. It was all good though! I came prepared silver clutch in hand to ward off those UV rays!
their gorgeous cake! You go Mamma L!!!
They had this fun little photo area with all different kinds of props... ;)
Hope you enjoyed!
Until Next Time,
